Math Reflection In math this year we used a program called Connected Mathematics 2. This is a very different math program than I am used to. Connected Mathematics 2 consists of my favorite unit in math was Bits and Pieces I. In this unit we learned about fractions, decimals and percents. I liked this unit because I like learning about fractions. Out of my personal opinion, math is a part of everyday life, especially fractions, decimals, and percents. I learned so many different things in this book. For example, I learned how to make fractions into percents. I also got a better understanding of how to multiply fractions doing cancelation. I connected the concepts in this unit to my life. The problems in this book give you a chance to connect to things in real life.

Describe a situation in which you and a friend can use probability to make a decision. Can the probabilities of the outcome be determined both experimental and theoretically? Why or why not?
A situation in which you and a friend can use probability to make a decision is flipping a coin. For example, if you and a friend want to decide whether to play basketball or soccer at recess, you can flip a coin. The probabilities of the outcome can be determined both experimentally and theoretically because you can experiment first and then use a theory to find out more.
Describe a situation in which it is difficult or impossible to find the theoretical probabilities of the outcomes.
A situation in which it is difficult or impossible to find the theoretical probabilities of the outcome are the Giants winning, loosing, or tying a football game. 3. Explain what it means for a probability situation to be fair. For a probability situation to be fair, all chances have to be equally likely.
